Summit Foundation Clean 603kg of Rubbish from Slopes of Villars

Villars in Western Switzerland was the latest resort to benefit from a spring clean of its slopes, this time organised by environmental group the Summit Foundation.

Volunteers collected 603 kg of waste on have been collected, during the waste collection day on June 15th.

The clean up was organised in partnership with the local Télé Villars-Gryon Diablerets lift company, the Villars Sports centre, Transports Publics Du Chablais-Tpc and students at Aiglon College and  Beau Soleil Collège Alpin International.

Among the rubbish collected were abandoned skis and snowboards, golf balls and some boxer shorts, along with lots of napkins, tissues, cigarette butts, gum and some medals.
