Pyhä Ski resort (pictured) became the first carbon-neutral ski resort in the Nordic countries in 2011, followed by Ruka in 2018 – the second ski resort in Finland. In 2019, the Ruka and Pyhä environmental programs evolved into a responsibility program that also covers social and economic responsibility.
“As a family company, responsibility has been a natural part of our operations for decades. Nature and snow are our most important assets and the reason why we want to protect them. We work to ensure that our customers continue to enjoy the joys of the snow in the future,” said Ville Aho, CEO of Rukakeskus Oy.
