Austria’s giant, the SkiWelt ski area, has announced its network of electric charging stations – located in the car parks at the base of its various lifts – will be further expanded for this coming season.
SkiWelt will have nine charging points in operation, which are available for visitors to charge up their cars free of charge during a day on the slopes. Of these nine points, two will be at Brixen im Thale, five at Hopfgarten and two at Scheffau. The electricity used is the same 100% green hydro power the area uses for all its lifts.
Scheffau has also announced 140 new free parking spaces and a new rental shop at its bottom lift station too. The centre’s parking deck is being improved and equipped with a lift, making all three parking levels conveniently connected, and easily accessible (ski in & ski out).
